Journal Prompts for the week of November 12-18

These topics relate to our reading of the play Julius Caesar. You must complete two posts by Sunday November 18th. *Please relate on a personal level whenever possible!

****How do people today display honor? Besides soldiers, how can everyday people behave honorably? Discuss your own honorable actions.

****When is ambition a positive force? when is it a negative, harmful force? Give at least two examples for each.

****Is it ever acceptable to do something wrong if it is for the "right" reasons? Provide at least two examples.

****By whom are you persuaded (advertisers, public speakers, news sources...)? Do you think people in general are easily made to believe things? How can this happen?

****If you had to choose, would you rather have power or respect? Explain.

Wells' English 10 Goes Global with Online Journals

Hello sophomore English students! Welcome to our new blog spot! As you know, our course is designed to give you Regents level literacy skills with a focus on literature from around the world. As a way to allow us to journal outside of the confines of the one period class, I have decided to implement online journals, a.k.a. the blog. In this way you will be able to get credit for your English class journal, connect with the world using 21st century technology, have a more lightweight book bag, and help the environment by going paperless! I will be continually adding elements to this blog, so stay tuned.
